Shawn
Shawn Ellington, also known as Murder Nova, was born in 1977 in Merced, California. In 1982, he relocated to Sayre, Oklahoma, where he spent his formative years helping out in his father Richard’s auto body shop. Shawn moved to Oklahoma City in 2005. Shortly after that, he acquired a vehicle that would later be dubbed the Murder Nova. This car, a 1969 Nova painted in flat black, has undergone various modifications over the years. The OG Nova is still one of the fastest street-raced cars in the country and spends most of its time now on small tires.
Erin
Erin, affectionately known as Mrs. Murder Nova, is vital to the daily operations at 187 Customs. Her passion for racing is matched by her love for baseball, especially when watching Aiden play. Erin is always seen with a smile, so don’t be afraid to smile back!
Phantom
Phantom wears many hats for 187 Customs. His passion is being Crew Chief for Murder Nova with a close second of creating content for the 187 Customs YouTube channel. In his spare time, he also likes to work on and race his own vehicle, better known as “Shop Truck” a 2001 GMC Sierra. He also has a shoe addiction.
Aiden
Aiden is the son of Murder Nova. Currently in his senior year of high school and enjoying basketball and baseball. He is also building an LS swapped, Procharged, 1972 Chevelle.
Mallory
Mallory, better known for being Phantom’s better half, is currently 187’s Social Media & Marketing gal. She is also known for her drag racing photos under the name “Mallory Elizabeth Photography”. Originally from New York City, she went to school for Musical Theatre and has performed in dozens of musicals and theatre will always be near and dear to her heart.
Richard
Richard is Shawn’s Dad. When he not playing softball, he’s in his body shop fixing up cars for 187 Customs and other customers. He’s been doing paint and body for 40+ years.
Dalton
Dalton is an up-and-coming wrencher. He has a passion for cars and drag racing. He also works on and races an LS swapped, Procharged, 1964 Falcon.
Billy
Billy is Shawn’s cousin and lives in Belleview, Florida. Shawn and Billy grew up for a little while together in California until his parents moved them back to Florida. Billy has always been into cars and racing which is a big passion for his Family. Billy is married to his beautiful wife, and they have 3 grown children. He owns an Appliance Delivery & Installation business. Because Family means so much to him, he has been able to make his business a completely family run business. He has been on the 187 Crew for 2 full seasons and helps anyway that I can.
Ben
Ben is Erin’s cousin. Having grown up away from OKC most of his life, but it’s always been “home”. He currently resides in Atlanta and works for the USPS full time which allows him awesome off time to be able to travel the country with the187 family getting to do what we love most! He has a few hot rods of his own that he enjoys working on in his down time with his daughter Aven. He is passionate about racing and all things automotive since he was a boy, and now that he is a little older and wiser, he has been blessed to be on the crew full-time for the last two seasons and looking forward to this season!
